While AnneArundelHorses.org's primary focus is currently to support the horse park, we attempt to deal with issues specific to AA Co. Once the site was chosen, the horse park now becomes a statewide issue and www.MDHorsePark.info was launched to serve the larger audience of supporters that exists across the state. We welcome their support and efforts to make this hsppen. Quote by Steuart Pittman on viewing the site plan:
"....iit gave me goose bumps. This is no ordinary horse park.
This is better than anything that exists in this country, I'm sure.
All the economic impact figures depend on this thing being a local,
national and international destination. The Stadium Authority hired
Gralla architects, THE designers of the world's top equestrian facilities.
I am now completely convinced that this thing will be in such demand
as a site for big competitions that bond repayment will be no problem
from day one. It will be the most beautiful 800 acres in the state of
Maryland when (if) it's completed." NEXT ACTION! Our MissionAnneArundelHorses.org was established to help organize communication within the equestrian community of Anne Arundel County. More recently we have formed the Anne Arundel County Horse Council, an extention of the politically active Maryland Horse Council. Our primary goal is to help establish a communications network which ensures timely dissemination of information, allowing us to address critical issues quickly. By signing up for our network you will be notified when important issues involving the equestrian community arise, whether at the local, county or state level. In addition, you'll find helpful links for local and regional equestrian resources on this site. This is a work in progress by equestrian volunteers, so we appreciate your patience.
